When you’re ready for a sit-down meal that feels like a home-cooked version of Oaxacan classics, Levadura de Olla Restaurante is a great pick in Oaxaca de Juárez. At this place we even ate crickets!!! which is actaully a local delicase but im not sure if I'd recommend.

The menu focuses on regional dishes done really well from moles and stews to tender meats and hearty sides, all with deep, rich flavours that show off what Oaxacan cooking is all about. Prices are solid for a restaurant meal in town, usually around MXN 200–350 per main, and portions are generous. I'd recommend to get the tomato salad a lot of people rave about it, including us!
