If you’re looking for a short and hard but rewarding hike in Boquete, Piedra de Lino is a must. The trail isn’t too long, but it winds through lush forests and coffee plantations, and you get some really beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys along the way.
We loved how peaceful it felt — not too crowded, so it’s easy to just take your time, snap photos, and enjoy being in nature. The trail is well-marked, and it’s perfect for a morning or afternoon outing if you want a bit of exercise without committing to a full-day trek.
It usually takes around 1–1.5 hours round trip, depending on your pace and how many stops you make for photos or to enjoy the views. The trail isn’t too steep, so it’s pretty manageable for most people, but still gives you that nice little workout with amazing scenery.
There’s no fee to do the hike, and it’s best to go early in the day to avoid the heat and catch the best light for photos. If you’re in Boquete and want a quick, scenic hike with epic mountain views, Piedra de Lino is definitely worth checking out.
