Picnic Steak House in El Salvador is a popular roadside stop mainly known for its views and attractions rather than the food itself. While it’s a restaurant on paper, we actually didn’t end up eating here — the menu and overall vibe looked pretty average and not really worth stopping for just a meal.

That said, the real reason people come here is the giant rainbow slide, and honestly… it’s SO much fun. The slide is fast, colourful, and way more thrilling than you’d expect, making it a great stop if you’re travelling with friends or just feeling a bit playful. You can ride it multiple times, and it’s surprisingly addictive once you start.

The area also has viewpoints and open space to hang around, making it an easy stop to break up a drive, even if you skip the restaurant entirely. If you’re passing through, we’d say come for the rainbow slide, enjoy the laughs and photos, and keep driving when it comes to food 🌈😂
