We stayed at Bambuda Lodge and honestly, it might be one of the most epic hostels in the world. It sits on its own private island, so you immediately feel like you’ve escaped everything. There are comfy couches and chill spaces to play games, read your book, or just relax, plus great food options and laid‑back family‑style dinners that bring everyone together.
The pool is awesome, but the absolute highlight has to be the insane waterslide that drops straight into the ocean below. You have to use a boogie board because you’re going so fast — it’s wild, so much fun, and absolutely unforgettable. People go on it again and again, laughing the whole way but be care keep all hands and feet on the board otherwise you are gonna get friction burn, I learnt the hard way!
Dorm beds usually run about 20–40 USD per night, and private cabins are around 60–90 USD, depending on season and availability. If you’re after a unique stay with epic views, a private island feel, great food, and the craziest waterslide into the ocean, Bambuda Lodge is an absolute must.
