If you’re exploring Chiapas, Cascada El Chiflón is a must-visit for nature lovers and anyone who wants to see some seriously stunning waterfalls. The main cascade drops around 120 meters, and there are several smaller falls along the hiking trail that are just as beautiful. You can walk along well-maintained paths and wooden stairways that lead you closer to the water, and there are spots to take a refreshing dip if you’re brave enough. Entrance is around MXN 65–80 per person, and it’s a good idea to bring comfortable shoes, a swimsuit, and water. Our tip is to arrive early in the morning to avoid crowds and get the best light for photos — the mist from the falls is magical, and the hike through the jungle to the top is as much fun as the main waterfall itself.
