Mangel Halto is a quiet, mangrove-lined spot with very shallow, glassy water that makes it one of the best places nearby for easy snorkeling, kayaking, or just floating around close to shore. Bring your own snorkel, reef-safe sunscreen and water shoes because there are no rentals or facilities and the parking area is small; go early for calm water and fewer boats. Watch your step around coral and mangrove roots to avoid cuts or sea urchins, and remember there are no lifeguards, so stay within your comfort zone and keep an eye on tides. Respect the mangroves and marine life, and you’ll get great, low-key snorkeling without the crowds.
