We did the day trip to Arikok National Park + Baby beach to explore caves, natural swimming pools and one of the beach beaches in the country!
Arikok is actually on Aruba, so when you visit expect a dry, rocky landscape with short but sometimes steep hikes, several caves like Fontein and Guadirikiri with Arawak rock art, and the rugged natural pool called Conchi that is best reached by high-clearance vehicle or a guided 4x4 tour. Buy your park pass at the visitor center or entrance, go early to avoid midday heat, bring plenty of water, sun protection and sturdy shoes, and keep swim sessions short and cautious because surf and currents can be strong. Trails and backroads are uneven and dusty, so if you do not have a suitable vehicle join a guided trip; stay on marked paths to protect fragile wildlife and cultural sites.
