If you’re up for a little adventure, Cenote Calavera is such a cool spot near Tulum. The name means “Skull Cenote,” and it’s easy to see why — there are three holes in the rock you can jump through straight into the water below. The water is crystal clear and really refreshing, perfect for cooling off after exploring.

Entrance is usually around 120 MXN per person, and it’s a small, quiet cenote so it never feels too crowded. Bring a towel and some water shoes, and if you’re feeling brave, try the jumps — even just sitting on the edge and dipping your feet is fun. It’s a quick stop that feels adventurous and super different from the bigger, more touristy cenotes.
