We didn’t stay here but Atix Hotel looked like one of the coolest places to stay in La Paz. It’s a modern, design‑led boutique hotel that blends contemporary style with Bolivian culture and art, including works by the famous local artist Gastón Ugalde throughout the building.
The hotel feels much more special than your typical chain — with panoramic mountain and city views, a rooftop bar with cocktails, an infinity pool and Jacuzzi, and a restaurant that highlights local ingredients in refined dishes. The design and artwork give it a luxury but local vibe, perfect if you want something stylish and memorable without losing that Bolivian flavour.
Rooms here are on the luxury side, often including breakfast, free Wi‑Fi, air‑conditioning, and mountain views, and amenities like a gym, spa area, and indoor pool add to the comfort. Prices generally run higher than budget stays (think luxury hotel range for La Paz), but if you’re after a well‑designed, comfortable, and unforgettable base in the city, Atix is definitely one to consider.
