We’d absolutely recommend Tlayudas La Chinita if you’re in Oaxaca and want to try one of the city’s most iconic street food dishes. The tlayudas here are big, crispy and packed with toppings like beans, quesillo, asiento and your choice of meats, and one is definitely enough to share because they’re so filling. Prices are really reasonable, usually around 60–110 MXN depending on size and toppings. Our tip is to go early in the evening because it can get busy and to try it with a local beer or mezcal for an extra tasty combo.
