One of the best meals we ate in South America! Make sure to line up 30 mins before opening. Bolivian popular food is a vibrant mix of flavors and traditions, reflecting the country’s diverse cultures and regions. One of the standout dishes is salteñas, which are savory pastries filled with meat, potatoes, and spices, often enjoyed as a snack or for breakfast. Then there's pique macho, a hearty dish featuring beef, sausage, and fried potatoes, all topped with a spicy sauce—perfect for sharing with friends.

Another favorite is anticuchos, skewers of marinated beef heart grilled to perfection, usually served with potatoes and a tangy peanut sauce. And let’s not forget about the classic sopa de maní, a rich peanut soup that warms the soul. For those with a sweet tooth, there are treats like buñuelos, deep-fried dough balls dusted with sugar, and api, a warm drink made from corn and spices, often enjoyed during chilly evenings. Overall, Bolivian cuisine is all about hearty ingredients and bold flavors, making it a delightful experience for anyone willing to dig in.
