We stopped by Restaurante Fridas in Antigua and instantly loved the vibe. The restaurant is bright, colorful, and full of character, with walls full of Mexican-inspired art that make it feel lively and fun. It’s one of those spots where you can enjoy your meal and soak up the atmosphere at the same time.
The food is definitely the highlight — authentic Mexican dishes done really well, from tacos and enchiladas to fresh salsas and guacamole. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, and the portion sizes are generous, so you definitely leave feeling full. We especially loved trying a few of the local twists on classic dishes.
Prices are mid-range, usually around 10–20 USD per main dish, which feels fair for the quality and portion sizes. The location is perfect too, just a short walk from Antigua’s main plaza, making it easy to drop in for lunch or dinner while exploring the city. If you want great Mexican food in a fun, colorful setting, Restaurante Fridas is a must-visit.
