If you head to Eagle Beach in Aruba, expect a low-key, sandy spot with few services, so bring water, snacks, cash, sunscreen and a towel. Access may be by a short dirt road or local bus to a nearby village, and parking can be basic, so a car or motorbike helps. Swimming can be rough with strong currents and limited lifeguards, so ask locals before going in and avoid swimming alone; also watch the tides. You can usually find simple food and basic lodging in the nearest town, but plan to return before dark and keep valuables out of sight.
