Burleigh Heads is an iconic spot along the Gold Coast that holds a special place in my heart. Back when I didn’t have my license, getting there involved a bus, then a train, and another bus, but it was always worth the journey. The beach is famous for its golden sands, fantastic surf conditions, and relaxed vibe, making it an ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, or catching some waves.

The area is lively and the beach can get quite busy, but that’s no surprise given its stunning views and the scenic walks along the coastline. You can enjoy a range of activities, from picnicking in the nearby parklands to exploring the local cafés and shops that are just a stone’s throw away. Parking near the beach can be a challenge, so arriving early is a smart move. With its blend of beautiful beach, lush trails on Burleigh Hill, and a great selection of cafés, restaurants, and bars, Burleigh Heads is the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the vibrant coastal atmosphere.
