Tuross Head is this super chill seaside town on the south coast of New South Wales. Like with most of my East Coast adventures, I made a stop here to soak up the sun and hit the beach. One Tree Hill Beach was dreamy, it was basically empty and perfect for unwinding. On this leg of my trip, I didn’t have a solid plan, so I just wandered into less-traveled towns and stumbled upon some real treasures. This beach had these cool stick teepees (hopefully they’re still there when you go). I found the biggest one, set up right at the entrance, and it was like having my own little shaded hideaway.

Definitely take some time to wander around the rocks. The waves can be a bit unpredictable, so watch your step, but I love exploring the tiny rock pools and checking out the marine life. Also, make sure to head over to One Tree Hill Point, the lookout of the ocean here is beautiful. There are some larger rock pools there that aren’t great for swimming but are still pretty amazing to look at. If you’re in the area and craving a sunny beach day, Tuross Head is the place to be. Enjoy it and soak it all in!
