Blue Lake, also known as Warwar, in Mount Gambier is a massive, crater lake that stretches over 60 hectares and drops a whopping 72 meters deep, talk about a deep blue! What’s really cool is how the lake’s color changes throughout the year: it starts off this electric turquoise in November and gradually shifts to a deeper, more muted blue by March. It’s like the lake has its own mood swings, lol. Oh, but it's not just a pretty face; the lake’s water supplies the town, making it a vital part of the community. There’s a scenic walk around the lake that offers killer views from all angles, and I even spotted some local wildlife hanging out.
