The Amphitheatre in Carnarvon Gorge is one of the most captivating spots in the park. From its unique ladder entrance, where you squeeze through a narrow crack in a massive rock, to being enveloped by the towering rock walls inside, it’s a truly remarkable experience. The trail to this natural wonder is about 6 kilometers return and offers a varied trek through lush rainforests and rugged terrain. The Amphitheatre itself is a grand, cave-like formation with high, towering walls that create a dramatic and echoey chamber.

The acoustics inside are fantastic, so don’t miss the chance to test out your singing or whistling skills. The trail is moderately challenging but worth the effort, and visiting this spot can be a great part of a longer hike through the gorge or a standout adventure on its own.
