Before you dive into the lush paradise of Litchfield National Park, don't miss out on checking out the Magnetic Termite Mounds along the way. Take a break, snap some pics of these funky mounds, and soak in the unique vibe before you hit the waterfalls and lush greenery of Litchfield. It's a quirky little detour that adds a bit of fun to your road trip adventure!

Alright, so this site has a short walking trail that’s maybe 100 meters or so which includes an information shelter where you can learn all sorts of wild stuff about these little critters and their homes in Australia. These particular termites love the wet spots, so they build these mounds facing north and south to catch the most sun. Smart, right? Keeps 'em warm and cozy!
