If I'm being completely honest, I underrated this National Park's beauty, it's truly spectacular. Bunya National Park, about a two-hour drive northwest of Brisbane, is a stunning gem that offers a unique blend of ancient forest and breathtaking landscapes. Covering roughly 30,000 hectares, the park is renowned for its towering bunya pines, some over a thousand years old, and is a perfect destination for a nature-filled getaway.

The Bunyas to Bellbird Trail is a highlight, a 10-kilometer loop that winds through dense forest and provides breathtaking views from various lookout points. You'll traverse through those iconic bunya pines, really soaking in the park's grandeur. For a shorter, equally rewarding hike, check out the Scenic Circuit, it’s cool and shaded, making it a refreshing choice even on a warm day.

If you are up for staying overnight check out the Dandabah Campground which is a fantastic spot to set up camp. With fees are around $6.00 per person per night, it offers basic facilities and easy access to several walking tracks.
