Hands down, one of the most stunning, bright blue glacier-fed swimming spots you’ll ever see. Now, full disclosure, as I write this, Google Maps says the Blue Pools track is closed. Technically, the official track is closed, but you can still get to the pools. It’s about a 1 km walk to reach them from the car park, and if you hit the track closure, just turn right where the path is blocked off. It’s pretty obvious and hard to miss, plus heaps of people still visit despite the closure.

To get there, you’ll need to cross the first river. Usually, it’s just ankle to knee-deep, easy enough, but if the water’s any higher, don’t even think about crossing. Safety first!

When you finally arrive, the pools are absolutely breathtaking, crystal-clear, bright blue, and pure glacier water. It’s the perfect spot for nature lovers to chill and soak it all in, but fair warning: the water is seriously icy, so be ready for that chilly shock if you decide to jump in!
