If you're not a fan of spending too much time in cities but still want to get a good look at Wellington, Mount Victoria Lookout is the perfect spot. It offers panoramic views of the city and harbor, making it an awesome place to take in the scenery.

You can either drive or hike up to the lookout, with the most popular trail being the 4.8km Mount Victoria Loop. It starts and finishes on Oriental Parade, but fair warning, parking can be a bit tricky, so be prepared for that. The hike is pretty manageable, and the views at the top are well worth it.
