Dorothy Falls is a stunning little spot tucked away in the Lake Kaniere Scenic Reserve, not too far from Hokitika. It’s a 64-meter multi-step waterfall that’s super easy to get to, it's literally right off the road with a small car park nearby. It’s a great place for a quick stop, a photo, or even a swim if it’s warm enough.

The plunge pool at the base is a popular summer spot for a dip. The drive in is a bit of a mission, though the last few k’s are narrow and gravel, so take your time getting there. Still totally worth it for the peaceful vibes and pretty falls.
