Yarralumla Bay is a relaxed and inviting spot on the southern shore of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. It’s perfect for everyone, whether you're into boating, swimming, paddling, or just enjoying a leisurely stroll by the lake. The area features sailing and rowing clubhouses, sandy beaches, and shaded picnic spots, making it an ideal place to unwind and soak up the lakeside atmosphere. The water quality is regularly checked, so you can swim with confidence.

I found it to be a great place to reconnect with nature and figure out my next steps for things to do and places to explore. One morning, I parked my van and was treated to the sight of hot air balloons floating above the lake, an unexpectedly magical experience that added a special touch to my visit. Whether you’re looking to relax or stay active, Yarralumla Bay provides a wonderful setting to enjoy the water and its scenic surroundings.
