The Sea Cliff Bridge is an iconic scenic road bridge that captures the essence of the east coast perfectly. It offers breathtaking views of the Tasman Sea and is a stunning coastal route that’s beautiful to drive across. For the best photos and a truly memorable experience, though, you’ll want to check out a lookout that’s reachable via a short but slightly tricky walk.

While you might find some online advice about parking along the road, I found that the small gravel section can be a bit dodgy, especially if you're driving a van. Instead, park at Rube Hargrave Park. From the playground, there's a well-hidden trail behind it. Although there's a sign saying "No Pedestrians," I saw others on the trail and had no issues myself, just proceed with caution. Follow this path for about 10 minutes, it’s a steep but short walk, so be mindful of your steps. At the top, you'll find a park bench where you can catch your breath and take in the stunning views. The trail is somewhat overgrown since it’s a secret spot, so extra care is needed. The effort to get there is definitely worth it for the spectacular views you'll enjoy from the lookout.
