Port Welshpool Long Jetty is a charming spot worth checking out if you find yourself in the area. Stretching out into the waters of Corner Inlet, this lengthy jetty is a pleasant place for a stroll or a relaxing moment by the sea. It’s not the most famous attraction, but I happened to be driving past and thought, why not stop by?

While you’re there, you might see some local fishers casting their lines or watch boats coming and going. A random side fact about me is that I really enjoy watching people fish. There’s something so entertaining to me about seeing their excitement when they catch something, and their enthusiasm for sharing their stories is just wholesome.

The jetty extends for about 800 meters, offering expansive views over the inlet and the surrounding landscape. It’s a great spot to enjoy a peaceful walk, breathe in the fresh sea air, and observe the local wildlife, including seabirds and the occasional fisherman. The structure has a rustic, down-to-earth vibe that reflects its historical roots and practical use. It’s a nice place for a casual visit, especially if you’re in the mood for some tranquility by the water.
