This one’s a quick but worthwhile stop as you drive down the West Coast. Knights Point Lookout gives you some unreal views of the rugged coastline, and if you’ve got good eyes (or binoculars), you might spot a few NZ fur seals or even elephant seals lounging around down on Arnott Point.

Bit of a fun fact too: it’s actually named after a dog called Knight, who belonged to one of the surveyors working on the road. So yep, a pup has a lookout named after him. Love that.

There’s not a whole lot here beyond the views and a couple of signs, but it’s a solid place to stretch your legs and take in the wild coastal vibes.
