This one’s a bit of a secret swim spot if you don’t mind icy cold water. Just a short drive from Motueka, Riuwaka Resurgence is a hidden gem in the Tasman region. From the car park, you’ll walk through lush forest to a crystal-clear river that comes right out of a cave. It’s a sacred place for the Māori, and the scenery is stunning. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, and it’s an easy spot that won’t take up much of your day.
