This one’s a classic photo stop about 15 minutes down the road from Lake Pukaki heading towards Aoraki/Mt Cook. The view from here is unreal, turquoise water, snow-capped peaks, and the road winding its way through it all. On a clear day, Aoraki looks like it’s been dropped right into the middle of a postcard. There’s plenty of space to pull over, stretch your legs, and soak it all in. Definitely worth a quick stop, especially if you’re chasing that iconic South Island shot.
