Slope Point is the southernmost spot on the South Island, down in the Catlins. It’s about a 15-minute walk across farmland to get to the sign that points to the Equator and South Pole. There’s not a whole lot else there, but the clifftop views are pretty cool, and it’s worth a quick stop just to say you’ve made it to the very bottom of the island.
