If you want that classic postcard view of Milford Sound from above, this short hike is the one to do. To get there head toward the Foreshore Walk, which starts by the info panels and toilet block at the edge of the main car park. Walk a few minutes along the flat path , you’ll pass through some bush and alongside the water. Look for a small sign on the right that points uphill to the Milford Lookout Track. It’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. It’s only about 10–15 minutes up, but the view at the top is unreal  especially on a clear day. Way less crowded than down by the terminal, too.
