This is a quick but pretty cool stop as you drive through Arthur’s Pass. The Otira Viaduct stretches across a steep alpine valley, and the lookout gives you a nice view of it with the mountains all around. It’s one of those places that looks completely different depending on the weather, misty and moody one day, clear and dramatic the next. Also, keep an eye out for Kea here!
