Stunning waterfall in Tasmanian forest

Waterfall

Message from Cassadvantures

If you’re heading to the northwest part of Tassie, make sure to swing by Dip Falls. The rock formations here are absolutely mind-blowing and incredibly unique. The waterfall drops over 30 meters, cascading down a wide field of dark basalt lava, creating a striking, rippling effect that’s truly one-of-a-kind. There are two car parks: one with a lookout and another with a path that takes you right to the base of the falls. Definitely check out both, as they offer some fantastic vantage points to take in the raw beauty of the place. The path to the base does have quite a few stairs, but it’s only a 5-minute walk, so it’s pretty accessible.

While you’re in the area, don’t miss the Big Tree, also in the same forest reserve. It’s an enormous Eucalyptus that stands 62 meters tall. Just follow the road for another kilometer, and you’ll reach it. It’s well worth the extra stop!
