The South Side Walk kicks off from the car park just south of Fox Glacier Village, you’ll find it right after crossing the Fox River Bridge on your left. It’s a pretty chill walk through lush rainforest with a bit of a steady climb, nothing too crazy. Along the way, there are three great lookout spots where you can catch solid views of the glacier. Oh, and definitely grab a snap of the river before you head off, it’s kind of a classic shot for this track.

The whole walk is about 6.4km return with 170 meters of elevation, making it a nice mix of easy strolling and a bit of a climb.
