Delta Lake was one of my favorite hikes in Grand Teton National Park. Seeing the Tetons rise directly behind it made the entire hike feel worth it. One thing to know before starting is that the final section to Delta Lake is not clearly marked, so I highly recommend downloading an offline map or following the social paths that other hikers use along the way.

The hike took me around 4 hours round trip. Most of the trail is steady, but the last half mile became much more challenging with steep scrambling over rocks and uneven terrain. That section definitely felt strenuous, especially near the end, but the views the entire way were incredible.

I arrived around 6 AM and parking at Lupine Meadows was very easy at that time. Starting early also gave me the chance to watch the sunrise light hit the Tetons , and honestly that alone made the early wake-up worth it. Even though this is a popular hike, it still felt peaceful early in the morning.
