Old Faithful is probably the most reliable place in Yellowstone if you want to experience a geyser eruption in person. One thing I really liked is that the park provides estimated eruption times, which makes it much easier to plan your visit instead of waiting around for hours. The eruptions usually happen every 90–95 minutes, so checking the predicted schedule ahead of time helps a lot.
Parking here was surprisingly straightforward considering how popular the area is. Once you arrive, the walk to the viewing area is very easy and accessible, making it a great stop for almost any type of traveler.
Even though there are larger geysers in Yellowstone, there’s something special about finally seeing Old Faithful erupt in person after hearing about it for so many years. The entire area feels very active and energetic, especially when the eruption starts and everyone gathers around to watch.
