Tucked away in the narrow alleys of Ikseon-dong, Cafe Highwaist doesn’t really scream for attention from the outside — you could easily walk right past it. Step inside though, and it feels like you’ve wandered into a pastel fairytale. The vibe is soft, vintage, and a little whimsical, with desserts that look straight out of a tea party spread.

What to order: Their scones with clotted cream and jam are the highlight and bring a bit of British tea-time to Seoul. The cakes and other desserts are beautifully styled (hello, Instagram photos), though taste-wise they’re not the most memorable compared to some of Seoul cafes. Still, it’s worth a stop if you’re café hopping.
