This place was the first-ever bistro to be introduced on Michelin Guide. It feels like a modern take on a traditional suljip (drinking house) — cozy wood interiors, handwritten menus, and shelves lined with Korean liquors. The star here is, of course, the makgeolli (Korean rice wine). They’ve curated bottles from small-batch brewers across the country, so you can taste just how different each region’s style is — some sweeter, some nuttier, some more effervescent.

Food-wise, the menu is built for drinking. Think crispy pajeon (파전, scallion pancakes) that pair perfectly with makgeolli on a rainy night, comforting jeongol (전골, hot pot stews) to share with the table, and seasonal banchan that rotate depending on what’s fresh. The portions are generous, and it’s the kind of place where you linger, chatting and pouring drinks for friends as the night goes on.
