If it’s your first time in Seoul, a picnic at Yeouido Han River Park is a must. Pack some snacks (or grab ramen from the CU), rent a mat, and just people-watch. It’s one of the easiest ways to experience local Seoul life without spending much money.
The Han River is one of Seoul’s most iconic spots — and Yeouido Han River Park is its most famous section. Located in the middle of the city, this park is where locals come to picnic, cycle, watch the cherry blossoms in spring, and hang out with friends over late-night fried chicken. It’s busy, vibrant, and gives you a slice of everyday Seoul life.
Expect big crowds on weekends (especially spring & summer evenings), but that’s part of the fun.

You’ll see “Delivery Zones” throughout the park where riders will drop off your food.

If you don’t want the hassle, convenience stores inside the park sell ready-to-eat ramen (they even cook it for you on the spot), snacks, and drinks.
💡 Tip: Many delivery apps require a Korean card/phone number. If that’s tricky, grab food from CU or Ministop in the park.
Convenience Stores
There are many convenience stores that are located all throughout Yeouido Han River Park.
Usually, a package is around 1,000-2,000 won, but if you plan to cook it there, the total charge will be around 4,000 won.
Don’t forget to grab extra ingredients like boiled eggs or cheese slices if you want to customize the flavor. After your purchase, the staff will tell you where the cooker is. Follow the instructions on the machine (usually in both Korean and English), and in about three minutes you’ll have a camping meal ready to eat. You might also be able to add a raw egg, but you need to ask the staff.
