Jamsil Hangang Park is one of the best spots along the Han River if you want open space with a great city view. It’s popular for picnics, bike rides, and hanging out by the water in the evenings. You’ll see locals sprawled out on picnic mats with fried chicken and beer, or riding along the riverside trails that connect to other Hangang parks. At night, the lights from Lotte World Tower and the bridges make the view even better.

Tips for Visiting

  • Rent a bike if you want to cover more ground — the river paths here are flat and easy.

  • Best time to go is late afternoon into evening when the sun sets behind the city skyline.

  • Bring a mat or grab one from a nearby convenience store if you plan to picnic.
