Seokchon Lake Park is split into East Lake (동호) and West Lake (서호), with a 2.5 km path looping around both. Right next to Lotte World and Lotte Tower, it’s a favorite spot for locals to walk, jog, or just sit by the water. It’s famous for its spring cherry blossoms—with trees circling the entire lake, it turns into one of the most photogenic spots in Seoul every April.

Directions

  • Address: 47 Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul (서울 송파구 잠실동 47)

  • Subway: Jamsil Station (Line 2 & 8, Exit 2 or 3). Park entrances are a short walk away.

  • Hours: Open 24/7

  • Admission: Free

Tips

  • Go early during cherry blossom season if you want fewer people in your photos.

  • Combine it with nearby attractions: Lotte World Adventure (theme park), Lotte World Mall, and Seoul Sky Observatory at Lotte Tower.

  • Bring snacks or grab something inside the mall — there aren’t big picnic lawns, just benches around the lake.
