If you’re already by Deoksugung Palace, pop into the Seoul Museum of Art. The building itself is cool — an old courthouse mixed with modern design — and the exhibitions change all the time, so there’s always something new to see. It’s mostly contemporary art, with a mix of Korean and international shows, and sometimes big installations that make the space feel really alive.

It’s free to enter unless there’s a special exhibition, so it’s an easy stop even if you only have an hour. There’s also a small outdoor sculpture garden that’s nice for a quick walk.
