Banpo Hangang Park (반포 한강공원) is one of the best places in Seoul to soak up city views along the Han River. By day, it’s perfect for biking, picnicking, or just stretching out on the grass with friends. By night, it transforms with the famous Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain — the longest bridge fountain in the world — lighting up the skyline with music and color.

Location & Directions

  • Address: 40, Shinbanpo-ro 11-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul (서울 서초구 신반포로11길 40)

What to see & Do

Seoraenaru (서래나루)
- Naver map: https://naver.me/GMPo3MPv

  • This is where you'll find the floating "7-eleven" that has gone viral on instagram to buy ramen to eat by the Han river.

  • There are tables and chairs on the terrace in-front of the convenience store, so anyone can easily eat and drink here.

Seoraeseom Island (서래섬)

  • I highly recommend walking around & watching sunset from Seoraeseom island. Its one of the most romantic sunset spots along the Han River. You can watch a beautiful sunset with Seoul's skyscrapers are in the background.

  • It's is super easy to get to since it’s connected to Banpo Hangang Park by three little bridges. Once you’re there, you’ll find willow trees lining the promenade and flower fields that change with the seasons, making it one of the prettiest spots along the river. It’s a favorite for couples, photographers, and anyone who loves a good walk — especially during the spring rape flower festival or the buckwheat blossoms in autumn. There’s a trail that loops around the island, plus plenty of benches where you can just sit back and take in the views of the Han River.

Moonlight Square

  • Best viewing area for the Rainbow Fountain

  • Great photo spot with Namsan Tower in the background

Tips

  • Arrive 30–60 minutes early to grab a good spot (Moonlight Square is most popular)

  • Pair with a bike ride or stroll across Banpo Bridge + go to Seoraeseom Island for the sunset.

  • Bring a mat or foldable chairs for comfort

  • Best to visit in late spring, summer, or early fall for the fountain shows
