Welcome to the birthplace of The Open Championship, a course steeped in more than 160 years of golf history.

If you were asked in a quiz what golf course first hosted The Open you could be forgiven for saying St.Andrews but it was actually Prestwick that not only hosted the first Open but the first 10 Opens.

You're walking in the footsteps of legends on this classic links course, originally laid out by Old Tom Morris himself. The golf course is quirky and unlike a lot of the bigger modern links courses but if you're in the area I see it as a must play.

Prepare for a true test of your game with its rugged dunes, deep bunkers, and famous blind shots like the 'Alps'.
