Ardglass is home to the oldest clubhouse in the world dating all the way back to 1405 and is also home to one of the most incredible opening tee shots you will ever see.

The golf course sits on the cliffs and it's like a toned down version of Pebble Beach.

The highlight of the round for me comes on the 7th where you can pop into the snug and Gerry will be there to serve you a creamy pint of Guinness in front of the fire.

It's about an even split between holes that are wild and rugged and then others that are more tame and calm. I personally quite like the rhythm of having some dramatic holes, before settling down with some calm holes before building up to a crescendo. Ardglass gives a great mix of both. It's not at the level of Royal County Down or Portrush but it is a must see when you're doing a Northern Ireland golf trip.
