Brittas Bay Club or The European Club as it was previously known as is currently under construction as the new owners upgrade the course.

Pat Ruddy was the architect behind the original design which was widely recognised as among the best in Ireland. Despite the beauty of the course, there were 2 main criticisms:

1. The course was too difficult

2. The design arguably didn’t take advantage of the breathtaking scenery surrounding the course

With the help of one of the best golf courses designers in the world, Kyle Phillips, the new owners are planning to take this place to another level.

The course should be open for play in early 2027
