Famously known as the "Guinness Lake," nestled in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains this is one of the most beautiful hikes you can do in Ireland.

The reason it's known as the Guinness Lake is because there is a house down beside the lake that was owned by the famous Guinness family.

From the main car park, it's just a short stroll to the viewpoint where you'll be greeted by the breathtaking sight of the dark, peaty water and the striking white sand beach, which uncannily resembles a freshly poured pint. For a bit more adventure, you can take one of the many walking trails, like the easy 1.5-hour path that offers constantly changing perspectives of this iconic landscape. It's a truly memorable spot, perfect for soaking in the wild beauty of the area.
