A series of cascades along the River Fowey through ancient oak woodland on Bodmin Moor, about 10 minutes from Liskeard. A National Nature Reserve with two waymarked trails — a shorter easy red loop past the smaller cascades, and a longer yellow trail to the bigger falls with plunge pools for wild swimming. Particularly spectacular after rainfall. Two trails start at the same point and split further on; the yellow route involves uneven ground, rocks and tree roots — wear sturdy shoes. Free parking at PL14 6RX, with Inkie’s Smokehouse in the car park. Dogs welcome.
