A sheltered crescent of fine golden sand tucked behind Trevose Head between Harlyn Bay and Booby’s Bay — named after a local white witch who was said to have lived here in the 16th century. On a sunny day the turquoise water and pristine sand look almost tropical. No facilities, no lifeguards and no parking at the beach itself — you walk in about 20 minutes from the National Trust car park at Trevose Head or Harlyn Bay, and that’s exactly why it stays quiet. At low tide, small coves separated by rocky outcrops are yours to explore. Dogs welcome all year. One of the finest hidden beaches on the north Cornish coast.
