A small, sheltered strip of sand and shingle tucked just outside Polperro’s harbour walls — pretty rather than practical. It disappears completely at high tide, so check before you go. There’s also a man-made tidal pool below the cliffs on the right of the harbour mouth, a local favourite for swimming away from the waves. Dogs welcome but must be on leads between 10am and 6pm. For a proper beach, Talland Bay is just 1.5km east along the coast path.
