National Trust's Mill Bay Beach is a hidden gem on the Devon coastline in East Portlemouth, opposite Salcombe.

With its turquoise waters and soft, golden sandy beaches, it's the perfect spot for a day of sun, sand, and sea. Whether you want to relax on the beach, explore the rugged peninsula, or go for a coastal walk, there's something for everyone. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch or cream tea at the Gara Rock restaurant, just over a mile’s walk away.

In terms of getting here, there is a small National Trust Car Park down a tight Devon lane but it is right opposite the beach. In the summer, it is often full by 10am, so be sure to get here early if you wish to park. Otherwise, I’d recommend parking in Salcombe, and taking the short ferry across to the beaches. You can walk along the beach at low tide, or along the lane which is parallel at high tide.
